obsessed

Have you ever been obsessed with something, anything? To the point where, seriously, it consumes you!!!! I am so totally there. I have never really thought of myself as someone super political, but as of late, I am consumed with the presidential primaries. It has gotten to the point that I can't stop checking news websites for updates, latest articles etc. for information. I have even stooped to an all-time low... I listen to talk radio... ME, LISTEN to talk radio! From the moment I get up in the morning until the second my head hits the pillow, I am reading up on political media on the internet or listening to CNN or FOXNEWS. I know that this is unhealthy for several reasons, 1st: I get mad and upset when I read something I don't like, 2nd: I am losing sleep, even my dreams are all political these days and, 3rd: Neglect of my children- We just ate dinner while huddled around the TV watching the Florida Primaries. Seriously, I am SICK. Other, more rational people, have told me that it is just to early to be sucked into this, but alas, I have been sucked in-DEEP!

Help.

ridiculous, silly goose

You know when life gives you lemons and the proper thing to do would be to turn these lemons into a tall, refreshing, sweet glass of lemonade... well I have a confession, I have let those lemons ROT. I have been on a roller coaster of emotions as of late and therefore, have not posted. But today, Belle did something cute that made me giggle a bit. Think I'll share!

This morning, while eating breakfast, I was talking to the kids and said the word "ridiculous". Belle immediately yelled out, "MOM, DON'T SAY THAT BAD WORD!" (Sometimes, I think that Isabelle thinks that big, long words are bad words... I really don't know why!) I had to laugh and told her that it wasn't a bad word. That it was like being "silly". She tipped her head to the side and with deep concentration said, "Ohhhhhh." Later today, the kids and I were playing and I called Belle a "silly goose" and she quickly piped up with a girly smile and pretty voice, "I am a ridiculous, silly goose!" Sure enough, another moment I realize that kids listen to everything you say!!!
